Every morning, our private floatplanes depart directly from our dock on Six Mile Lake, flying you and your guide to premier river systems across the Bristol Bay watershed. With no roads within 185 miles, we follow the salmon runs and feed cycles where the trout action is strongest.
All wild rainbow trout are released immediately to preserve the resource. Harvest opportunities for salmon and other species depend on current regulations and lodge policy.

Newhalen Lodge accommodates a maximum of 14 guests per week. This strict limit guarantees personalized attention, abundant space in our floatplanes, and absolute solitude on the water.
